Meet our Director, Dan Byrnes

Dan Byrnes is a master executive coach, leadership trainer and OD consultant with 30+ years' experience supporting hundreds of leaders from front-line to C-suite level with 60+ organisations in 7 countries, including Qantas, ANZ, Lendlease, BHP, Optus, QBE, Rio Tinto, Raytheon, PepsiCo, Shell, John Holland, AMP, Telstra, KWM and more.

He is an accomplished leadership practitioner, with eclectic career experience spanning operations & project management, leading strategic change programs, executive HR / CPO roles, military leadership and professional engineering. He was a Leadership & Org Change specialist with global management consultancy Booz & Co (now Strategy&) where he worked internationally on strategic transformations and new operating models.

As executive coach, Dan has coaching experience equivalent to ICF Master Certified Coach level and extensive expertise in multiple coaching formats with a range of 360° feedback instruments and bespoke tools.

As leadership educator, he has been an instructor, facilitator and coach at Australia's two leading business schools - Melbourne Business School and AGSM @ UNSW - for over 17 years, consistently averaging above 90% approval rating by MBA and Executive Leadership Program participants. 

He holds an MBA from the AGSM, diplomas in HR and company directorship (AICD) and honours and masters' degrees in engineering. He  also trained at NIDA as an actor, TV presenter and voice artist and has worked professionally in TV, film and theatre. He has deep expertise in coaching role-play & simulation as a powerful methodology for developing leadership communication, mastering difficult conversations and executive presentation skills.
